Career Highlights

I have 12 years of experience in libraries, specialization in medical librarianship and health education. Other roles include: 2017 Chair of HealthLINE, Education Steering Committee for Medical Library Association (MLA), Credentialing Committee for South Central Chapter of MLA. Awards: 2018 Professional Recognition Award for Technological Innovation by the Hospital Libraries Section of Medical Library Association, 2016 Emerging Leader National Network of Libraries of Medicine, South Central Region.

  • Identify and describe key public health information systems and how these systems are used to improve population health
  • Locate and describe current U.S. public health surveillance and environmental monitoring systems
  • Describe privacy, confidentiality and information security issues encountered in implementation of public health information systems
  • Utilize data to communicate about a public health issue
  • Apply evidence-based communication methods and web systems in development of an online application
