Career Highlights:

I am the Associate Director, NNLM National Center for Data Services at NYU Health Sciences Library and Associate Curator, NYU Grossman School of Medicine. My expertise includes research data services, scholarly communications, and health sciences information literacy. Awards include the 2021 Texas Woman’s University Hallmark Alumni Award as well as the Medical Library Association’s 2020 Ida and George Eliot Prize which recognizes the most effective article in furthering medical librarianship.

    • Identify and describe key public health information systems and how these systems are used to improve population health
    • Locate and describe current U.S. public health surveillance and environmental monitoring systems
    • Describe privacy, confidentiality and information security issues encountered in implementation of public health information systems
    • Utilize data to communicate about a public health issue
    • Apply evidence-based communication methods and web systems in development of an online application
