This Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Nursing Administration program builds on a foundation of undergraduate nursing education and practical experience. This program provides a background to:
- Facilitate a successful career in nursing administration as a front-line or mid-level leader and manager

- Completion of all prerequisites, including a Bachelor of Science with a major in Nursing from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program
- GRE not required for students with a 3.0 GPA or higher
- Undergraduate (basic) statistics course with a minimum grade of "C"
- Probationary admission: GRE required for applicants with a 2.8-2.99 GPA with minimum score of 149 on the verbal section, 141 on the quantitative section, or 3.5 on the analytical writing section (best 2 of 3 sections)
- Applicants must possess an unencumbered RN license. Two years of clinical experience in registered nursing is required
- International students:
- Must have two years clinical experience in a U.S. (or equivalent) healthcare system
- Must have a TSE score of 40 or higher. The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam is required if the applicant's native or first language is not English and if he or she does not hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. institution. TOEFL score requirement: minimum of 550 on paper-based test, 213 on computer-based test, or 79 on the internet-based test, plus achieve the following minimum scores for subtests: Writing, 22; Speaking, 21; Reading, 20; and Listening, 16; or IELTS minimum score of 7.0.

NURSC 5311: Nursing Management in the Healthcare Environment
Duration: 5 weeks | Credit Hours: 3
Considers development of theories of leadership and organizational behavior as applied to the healthcare arena.
NURSC 5339: Roles and Functions of the Nurse Administrator (90 hours of clinical application required)

Examine and implement administrative and managerial roles in healthcare organizations.
