To be admitted to the BAAS degree program, prospective students must:
- Have completed an associate degree or a minimum 60 hours of college credit, or demonstrate progress toward a degree and at least 10 years of work experience
- Complete online application and submit the nonrefundable application fee
- Have official transcripts sent from the registrar(s) of the colleges/universities previously attended to UTA
- Possess a 2.25 Grade Point Average (GPA). Must maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA in Kinesiology while attending UTA.
- The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam is required if the applicant's native or first language is not English and if he or she does not hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. institution. Additional information is available here.
- Official transcripts record all courses, bachelor's degrees or highest degree conferred by a regionally or nationally accredited institution. Official transcripts are sealed transcripts sent from the granting institution.

MARK 3321: Principles of Marketing

Principles of marketing explores the theory and application of marketing concepts. MARK 3370: Social Media Marketing

Go behind the scenes and discover the marketing side of social media. Learn how to manage your personal and professional brand online. Understand how organizations are utilizing social media platforms to engage in social listening, social media advertising, influencer marketing, social media marketing campaigns, and more. A conceptual foundation and practical approach for developing a social media plan and tracking social media metrics will be presented. Students will gain hands-on experience using social media strategically to achieve desired marketing goals through an immersive-learning simulation project. BIOL 2460: Nursing and Health Microbiology

The intention of this course is to present basic information, relevant to nursing practice, with the principles of microbiology and the nature of microbial disease. This course will give the student a fundamental background of knowledge that will be applicable to the care of infectious patients, to the control of microbial diseases, and an understanding of microorganisms. The laboratory will provide practice in aseptic techniques, the use of disinfectants and antimicrobial agents, and microscopic study of bacteria. This course covers material in a traditional algebra course together with real-world applications of mathematics. It develops problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Topics include the mathematics of dimensional analysis, mathematical logic, population growth, optimization, voting theory, number theory, graph theory, relations, functions, probability, statistics, and finance. MATH 1302: College Algebra

Course not required if MATH 1301 completed.
Topics include the study of linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, radical, absolute value, logarithmic, and exponential relations; functions and inequalities; graphs, basic characteristics, and operations on relations and functions; real and complex zeros of various functions; graphing techniques; systems of equations; and matrices. The use of mathematical software and a basic/scientific calculator is required. No graphing calculators are allowed.
